Tamil Nadu Policeman was found dead at Vijayanagaram in Tirunelveli district

In a shocking incident from Tamil Nadu, a policeman was found dead at Vijayanagaram in Tirunelveli district. The victim Jagadeesan was a constable attached to the Vijayanagaram police station in Tirunelveli. As per reports he, along with five other officers, were attempting to catch illegal sand miners district police suspect that a three-member gang of the sand mafia in the region are responsible for the murder. The police sources claim that Jagadeesan was an honest and upright officer. He has been survived by his wife and a son. The Tamil Nadu government has announced a Solarium of Rs.10 Lakh for his family.
