The Four Seasons is Vivaldi's best-known work, and is among the most popular pieces in the Baroque music repertoire. It was inspired by an Italian sonnet, whose colourful pastoral scenes and events the composer depicts in his wonderfully imaginative music.
It has featured in the film Diana (2013) and episodes of True Blood and The Simpsons.
