Korean Leaders Pledge to Deescalate Peninsula

The leaders of North and South Korea embraced along the border and pledged to work together to deescalate the Korean peninsula.
South Korean President Moon Jae-in and North Korean President Kim Jong Un also agreed to work towards establishing a permanent peace accord.
Fought sixty years ago, the Korean War did not end with a peace treaty.
Instead, open conflict was halted with an armistice.
But that prolonged truce it nearing it's end, following the summit between President's Moon and Kim.
