Shahrukh & Aamir Taunted For SURROGACY By BJP Leader Sushma Swaraj

Sushma Swaraj lashed out at celebrities who treat surrogacy as a “fashion” or a “hobby”, at a press conference held recently. The Union Minister said that even though these celebs have ample children, boys and girls, they still want to have more through surrogacy, because, according to her, they do not want to put their wives through the pains of labour.
She said, and we quote, “We have many examples of celebrities who have their own children, still they have gone for a surrogate child. I am pained to say that the procedure that started as a necessity, has become a hobby of sorts,”. Among the notable celebs who have had children through surrogacy are Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Tusshar Kapoor.
“This is not a thing for pleasure… it has become a fashion of these days,” the Union Minister concluded. The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the Surrogacy (Regulation) Bill, 2016, and Sushma Swaraj was the head of the Group of Ministers formed to look into the issue of surrogacy. We may expect some tighter grips on surrogacy going forward.
