Bollywood’s Khiladi star Akshay Kumar has pledged to donate 90 lakhs for the drought relief in Marathwada. After veteran actor Nana Patekar step forward to help to farmers doing suicide and their families and founded a Naam Foundation, Akshay Kumar has pledged that he will give 90 lakhs for the cause.

Akshay will be contributing 15 lakhs rupees per month for next 6 months and he will be sending his PA to distribute the 15 lakhs.
Following the suit even Ajinkya Rahane an Indian batsman, has announced that he shall donate 5 lakhs to drought affected farmers through Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Akshay has set a good example and hope many Bollywood stars follow the suit and come forward to relief farmers from their plight.

It is said that MNS party has demanded Bollywood to donate money to drought relief else they will stop movie screenings.

But it seems Akshay has really felt the need of donation to the cause and did and not due to some political party threat!
