Wrong-way driver causes deadly multi-car crash on Texas motorway

This is the dramatic moment an allegedly drunk man driving on the wrong side of a motorway caused a fatal multi-car crash that killed a mother-of-one.

The footage, filmed from the inside of a car in the opposite lane, shows a vehicle along the major Interstate 20 in Duncanville, Dallas County, Texas, and crashing head-on into an oncoming vehicle.

‘’I told you he was going to crash anytime,’’ a man in the car can be heard saying in the background.

The man then pulls over to the right side of the highway and dashes over to the scene, all the while continuing to film the shocking events.

Passers-by can be seen desperately trying to extract a woman who got trapped in her car by pulling at the doors of its crumpled shell and assisting victims of the crash lying on the ground.

The wrong-way driver’s car then goes up in flames as ambulances are heard arriving at the scene but according to local reports the man was able to escape before the blaze started.

The suspect, who is recovering in the hospital, has been charged with intoxicated manslaughter.

The incident happened on April 21.
