Monkey carries around a puppy dog in West Bengal, India

Another strange incident that could only take place in India. A Rhesus Macaque stole this puppy and decide it was hers. She roughs it up and even tries to feed and 'look' after it, with a mis-placed sense of care and ownership. She drags it around with one leg, probably injuring it in the process. Locals and bystanders try to intervene but the monkey refuses to let go...

Seeing this weird relationship, people in the neighbourhood are not only sympathetic to them but also provide them food and water.
