China to begin mass production of memory chips in 2019

China is speeding up its plans to boost its semiconductor industry… as it aims to begin mass production of memory chips next year.
According to a report by Global market research firm DRAMeXchange released on Thursday,… three major companies, YTMC, Innotron and JHICC, will begin trial production this year and will officially start mass-manufacturing the chips in the first half of next year.
The companies are aiming to enter the NAND flash, mobile DRAM and specialty DRAM markets, and will be fully operational by 2020.
