Army Engineers Work to Restore Power as Outages Persist

The US Army Corps of Engineers released a video on April 17 documenting electricity restoration in Puerto Rico.In February they said they hoped to have power restored fully to the island by March. However, on April 18 a major blackout hit Puerto Rico leaving nearly all of the island’s residents without power.By midday on April 19, the executive deputy director of the Electric Power Authority (AEE) said around one million people had had their power restored.This was the second blackout on the island in two weeks, and the first to affect the entire island since Hurricane Maria hit in September.This video shows aerial footage of restoration work.
