Spring Snowstorm Second Biggest in Green Bay Area History

Residents in Menominee, Michigan, were digging out from two feet of snow on Tuesday, April 17, after a weekend spring storm. The 24.5 inches of snow is the most that has fallen during one storm in the town, a news report said.The National Weather Service described the storm as “once in a lifetime” and said it broke many records around Green Bay region, including being the second largest snowstorm to hit the region. Only a storm from 1888 had more snow.The storm had blizzard-like conditions with wind gusts of 35-50 miles per hour, triggering scattered power outages.This video shows the amount of snow in Menominee, which is on the Wisconsin state line.
