An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of five-point-eight has struck western Japan.
Japan's Meteorological Agency said the tremor hit near the city of Oda in Shimane Prefecture in the early hours of Monday morning, local time, at a depth of about ten kilometers.
So far no major damage or injuries have reported, and no tsunami warning has been issued.
