Palestinian Soccer Player Films Moment He is Shot in Legs at Protest

A Palestinian soccer player in Gaza filmed himself at the moment he was shot and wounded in both legs on March 30 during a Land Day demonstration.Speaking to Storyful, Mohammed Khalil, a football player with a club in Gaza, said the bullet went through one leg, destroying his knee, and then pierced through the ankle on his other leg. Khalil also said he would not play soccer again.Like thousands of others on March 30, he went to the border fence separating Gaza from Israel to participate in Land Day demonstrations.Khalil told Storyful he hoped to leave the Gaza Strip in order to seek treatment for his wounds.
