Pollsters have asked participants about a number of hypothetical 2020 match-ups involving well-known politicians, but Public Policy Polling recently presented a novel option. In a survey involving roughly 850 registered voters and conducted from March 23 to 25, it asked people who they'd vote for if the choices were President Trump and the adult film star he had an alleged affair with in 2006. The results indicated that Stormy Daniels would beat President Trump as long as she campaigned under her real name, Stephanie Clifford.  When participants were asked to choose between Daniels and Trump, she trailed the president 41 to 32. However, in a Clifford-Trump face-off, she emerged victorious at 42 to 41.
The poll was conducted on the same weekend CBS' "60 Minutes" aired its interview with Daniels.  In the interview, Daniels shared details about her alleged affair with Trump and the $130,000 she reportedly received from his attorney, Michael Cohen, just prior to the 2016 election.
She also mentioned that in 2011 she was threatened.
"A guy walked up on me and said to me, 'Leave Trump alone. Forget the story,' And then he leaned around and looked at my daughter and said, 'That's a beautiful little girl. It'd be a shame if something happened to her mom,'" Daniels recalled.
