Karnataka: V.S. Ugrappa blames nightlife as a cause for crime on women and children

Now, a Karnataka legislature committee on women and child safety headed by V.S. Ugrappa is blaming the extended nightlife as a cause for increasing crime on women and children. The panel is now demanding that the 2-hour extension granted by the govt for clubs, star hotels, eateries and bars to function until 1 AM. Be rolled back until July 2016, Bengaluru night life was restricted to 11 PM. The committee has also recommended putting onus of security on the owners of outlets.
