A 7.5-magnitude earthquake struck Papua New Guinea on February 26, triggering landslides, damaging buildings, and causing the closure of oil and gas operations.The earthquake was followed by at least 13 reported aftershocks measuring 5.0 or more, including a 6.4-magnitude quake early on February 27.Unconfirmed reports stated that up to 30 people were believed to have been killed.
