ज़िले की दो नगर पालिकाओं एवं 11 नगर पंचायतों के लिए मतदान बुधवार को 59.44 फीसदी वोटिंग हुई। सुबह 9 बजे तक शहर के शिबली कालेज, अग्रसेन कालेज के पोलिंग स्टेशनों पर लंबी कतार लगनी शुरू हो गई।
