Aid Convey Heads to Besieged Town in East Ghouta

The Red Crescent and UNHCR in Syria said on February 14 that the first humanitarian convoy of the year had delivered supplies to the opposition-held town of al-Nashabiyah in the besieged East Ghouta region of Damascus province.The aid convoy was loaded with food, health and nutrition supplies destined for 1,440 families currently living in the town, according to the Syrian Red Crescent. However, some 400,000 more people remain besieged in the wider East Ghouta region, struggling with lack of food and medical supplies.East Ghouta has been heavily bombardment in recent days.
