U.S. Vice President Mike Pence -- fresh from his trip to South Korea for the PyeongChang Winter Olympics -- has reportedly said Washington is open to dialogue with North Korea.
Pence told the Washington Post that South Korea and the U.S. have agreed to further engage North Korea and the US will pursue a policy of "maximum pressure and engagement at the same time."
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson also said Monday it will be "up to North Korea" to decide the time to engage in meaningful talks with the U.S.
He added North Korea is aware what has to be on the table for conversations to take place.
