Good afternoon, the teeth-chattering temperatures are showing signs of easing up. Highs in Seoul will rise to the positive territory tomorrow afternoon and notice how mild it's going to be on Friday at a high of 5 degrees in Seoul.

But for today, Seoul will only make it to minus 3 degrees Celsius while Busan and Jeju will get up to 3 degrees.

Those of you in PyeongChang will also see cold easing up tomorrow and we will have bearable temperatures just in time for the opening ceremony of the Olympics on Friday.

On a brighter note, the Lunar New Year holiday is about a week away, and we'll have much milder temperatures than what we've been dealing with but expect a brief cold snap on Sunday and next Monday.

With that, let's take a look at the international weather for viewers around the world.

Major cities in Asia will have bright skies with highs ranging from minus 3 degrees to 31 degrees.

Meanwhile, it will be warm in Sydney but scorching in Melbourne with a huge temperature gap between the two cities.

Heading to North America, the Chicago area is digging out after several inches of snow on Monday, and more snow is on the way Tuesday night. It won't snow on Wednesday but it will be freezing all day.
