Monday's market wrap

Stock on Wall Street plunged on Monday,... continuing their huge fall from Friday,... as a pullback from record highs deepened and investors grappled with rising bond yields and possibly firming inflation.
The Dow Jones tumbled nearly 16-hundred points at its lowest point,... the biggest intraday point drop in history,... before closing 1175-points lower, or 4-point-6 percent at 24,345-point-7.
The Dow's slide was the worst single day drop since the financial crisis in 2008.
The broader S&P 500 also tumbled over four percent to 2,649,... and the Nasdaq dropped nearly four percent to 6,967.
As for Korea,... the benchmark KOSPI pared its early losses but still fell over one-percent on Monday to close at 2,491-point-7-5,... following the huge losses on Wall Street, Friday.
The secondary KOSDAQ took a much bigger hit,.... losing over 4-and-a-half percent to fall well below the 900 mark,... at 858-point-2.
