Schiff: 'Time For General Kelly' To Give Trump A 'Time Out'

Adam Schiff fired back at President Trump after being tweet attacked Monday morning.

House Intelligence Committee Ranking Member Adam Schiff has long been an outspoken critic of President Trump and the feud between the two made headlines Monday morning after the president accused Schiff of leaking confidential information.
The Democrat dismissed the claim as "baseless" in a CNN interview while taking a jab at Trump.
"It may be time for [White House chief of staff] General Kelly to give the President a time out," Schiff said. "I think the country would certainly benefit from that anyway."
"I'm very careful not to disclose classified information or even things that happen in closed sessions, so it's a baseless attack," Schiff added.
Trump targeted Schiff in a tweet early Monday.
"Little Adam Schiff, who is desperate to run for higher office, is one of the biggest liars and leakers in Washington, right up there with Comey, Warner, Brennan and Clapper! Adam leaves closed committee hearings to illegally leak confidential information. Must be stopped!" Trump tweeted.
Schiff responded to the allegation on Twitter as well.
"Mr. President, I see you've had a busy morning of 'Executive Time.' Instead of tweeting false smears, the American people would appreciate it if you turned off the TV and helped solve the funding crisis, protected Dreamers or...really anything else," Schiff wrote.
Axios notes, citing inside sources, "'Executive Time' almost always means TV and Twitter time alone in the residence."
