Cop pulls 240-lb teen DUI suspect from burning car

ORION TOWNSHIP, MICHIGAN — Police dashcam footage shows the moment a hero cop rescued an 18 year-old suspect from his burning vehicle.

The Detroit News reports the suspect crashed into some trees and flipped his vehicle. The car went on fire. The pursuing officer used his baton to smash the suspect's sunroof and then hauled him to safety.

The officer, who remains unidentified, was praised for his actions. According to the Detroit News, the suspect was arrested for DUI and fleeing and eluding police.
