Colder morning, similar afternoon highs

Good morning, those of us in the capital had fairly clear views of the super moon last night but skies weren't that cooperative for southern provinces with thick clouds all night. As for today's weather, we are waking up to a colder morning than yesterday at minus 8 degrees in Seoul but readings will rise rapidly and by the afternoon we'll see higher temperatures than Wednesday.

Taking a closer look at the readings for other cities, Daejeon saw a low of minus 7 degrees while Daegu and Gwangju had a low of minus 4 degrees.

As for the highs, Seoul will rise to 1 degree Celsius, Daegu and Gwangju will have highs of 5 and 6 degrees. Most parts will be under mostly sunny skies along with dry weather alerts.

Those of you who are planning some outdoor activities this weekend will need to dress extra warmly, as another round of freezing temperatures are on tap, then icy cold readings will linger into early next week.

That's Korea for you and here's the international weather for viewers around the world.
