Among the potential 2020 Democratic contenders for the high office, former Vice President Joe Biden leads the pack, according to a recent Axios/SurveyMonkey poll.
In response to who they'd vote for in the 2020 Democratic primary if it were to be held today, 22% respondents picked Biden, followed by Bernie Sanders (17%),  Elizabeth Warren (16%), and Oprah Winfrey (16%).
Other options that ranked lower included  Kamala Harris, Kirsten Gillibrand, Cory Booker, and Tom Steyer.
The results from the poll, conducted Jan. 10-11, reflect responses by survey participants who "are or lean Democrat."
Biden recently fueled speculation about him running for the high office in 2020.
He said during an appearance on ABC's 'The View,' "If I were offered the nomination by the Lord Almighty right now, today, I would say no because we're not ready. The family's not ready to do this."
"If in a year from now, if we're ready and no one has moved in that I think can do it, then I may very well do it," Biden added.
Politico reported in November that he had been privately telling others that since no other viable candidate capable of defeating President Trump had emerged, "that might mean he'll just have to run himself."
"Biden in recent months has shifted unmistakably in favor of running, say multiple people who've been in touch with the former vice president and his team," the piece further noted.
However, publicly, he has also expressed doubts.
"Yes, I think I'm qualified, but that doesn't mean I should be president or that I will run for president," he told a crowd in Salt Lake City. "The honest to God answer is that I don't know."
