Porsche 911 GT3 In Bangalore Is India’s First With A Manual Transmission
  • 6 years ago
The Porsche 911 GT3 is a rather rare car, especially in India. Launched in India in October last year, the second 911 GT3 from the 991.2 generation has arrived in Bangalore. However, what makes this car especially special and rare is the fact that it is the first 911 GT3 (991.2) with a manual gearbox to come to India. However, the first 911 GT3 (991.2 gen) with the manual gearbox in India will call the city of Mangalore in Karnataka home.

The rear-mounted screaming flat-six engine produces 493bhp @ 8,250rpm and 460Nm of torque @ 6,000rpm. The engine is mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox that sends power to the rear wheels.

The Porsche 911 GT3 seen in Bangalore with the manual gearbox can sprint from 0-100kph in just 3.9 seconds and will continue accelerating hitting 160kph in just 7.6 seconds.

India's first-ever 911 GT3 (991.2) with a manual gearbox shows India and Bangalore increasing obsession with supercars. With just nine GT3s expected to make it into India, this could be one of the rarest supercars in the country. However, the fact that the Porsche 911 GT3 seen here has a manual gearbox will have the Porsche faithful applauding and car spotters drooling every time it goes past.
