Glider narrowly misses lightning strike during thunderstorm

This is the moment a pilot's plane nearly gets struck by lightning during a competition in Utah.
In the video, which dates from 2011, the pilot flies into a thunderstorm. He sees the flash of lightning and says, "Wow ... that was too close!"
Writes the Newsflare member: "This video was taken during a national glider competition in Utah. The day's course line took the gliders right through a developing thunderstorm and this video is from one of the pilots struggling to fly through the thunderstorm, not get struck by lightning, and staying flying."
