Another bitterly cold day _ 012518

Good morning, Seoul had the coldest daily high in seven years at minus 10.3 degrees Celsius on Wednesday... and it's going to be just as cold as yesterday... cold wave advisories have upgraded to warnings for most of the central region while other areas are still in a grip of big freeze including Busan and Ulsan with lows plunging to below minus 10 degrees Celsius.

In fact, a dry weather warning has been issued for those cities, while the rest are under the dry weather advisories... drink plenty of water, and take good care of your health amid this sudden drop in temperatures and low humidity levels.

Taking a closer look at today's morning lows... Seoul is waking up to a low near minus 16 degrees Celsius, the whole country is having negative morning lows including Jeju.

As for the highs, Seoul will inch up to -8 degrees Celsius but sharp winds will only make it feel colder, Daegu and Gwangju will rise to minus 2 and minus 3 degrees Celsius.

It's more likely that we'll be shiver into the weekend, we'll have to wait until the middle of next week to see readings go back to the seasonal averages.
