Matt Damon has vowed to keep his mouth closed for a bit after putting his foot in it recently.



The actor appeared on the Today Show to speak about his foundation, Water.org.



But at the end of the interview he was asked about his recent comments that landed him in hot water surrounding the MeToo campaign.



And Damon said he wished he had listened a lot more before weighing in.



In case you missed his comments, Damon said that the good guys in Hollywood aren’t getting enough credit… and there’s a difference between a harasser who pats someone on the butt and a child molester.



And of course, a few women in Hollywood called him out.



Guess he’s decided it’s best to stay quiet for a while and stay out of hot water.



Probably a good idea.
