Trump's Mar-a-Lago Resort Cited for Poor Maintenance State inspectors said the estate in Palm Beach posed a threat to public health, safety and welfare. The Miami Herald reported the resort required emergency repairs in order to pass a state inspection in November. The resort reportedly lacks smoke detectors and a poorly constructed staircase. The kitchens alone were cited for 15 violations.
