Venus Williams' Phone Records to be Subpoenaed in Wrongful Death

The judge in Venus Williams’ wrongful death suit will allow the family of the man who died in the accident to subpoena her phone records to see if she was talking at the time of the crash.

Page Six exclusively reports the information, and it might have a massive outcome on the case.

The tennis star’s lawyers have repeatedly denied that she was talking or texting at the time of the crash, and that she entered an intersection during a green light, but had to stop to avoid another car that was turning.

Her SUV was then hit by another, and the man driving that car was killed.

The estate of the late Jerome Barson has been requesting access to her phone records, but this is the first time we’re hearing that access has been granted.

Venus has maintained her innocence and denied any claims that she was driving reckless.

Still no word on when the records will be released, but for Venus, this is a make or break moment.
