Venus Williams filed an emergency court order in wrongful death case

On Wednesday, tennis star Venus Williams filled an emergency protective order in the wrongful death case involving a car crash she was involved in. According to Williams, the daughter of Jerome Barson, the man who died in the crash, gave Williams' lawyer extremely short notice that the family's lawyer would be inspecting a car involved in the crash. A hearing regarding the court order has been scheduled for tomorrow, with neither side allowed to collect more evidence before then. According to the lawsuit filed against Williams, the Barson family is claiming wrongful death and seeking upwards of $15,000 in damages.
