Shopping Mall Fire Kills 'Dozens' in Davao

Dozens of people were feared dead after a fire broke out at a shopping mall in the Philippines on Saturday, December 23.This video taken by an onlooker shows smoke billowing from the NCCC building in Davao as emergency services attended the scene. The fire reportedly started at around 9.35am with an unconfirmed number of people trapped inside, according to local website GMA News.Officials later said at least 37 people were considered dead or missing following the fire, CNN reported. Local news website Inquirer.net reported that the mall is one of the city’s biggest shopping centers.
