Report: Steve Bannon May Be Considering A 2020 Presidential Run

Steve Bannon may reportedly be considering a 2020 presidential run.

Steve Bannon may be considering a 2020 presidential run.
Gabriel Sherman of Vanity Fair reports in a piece published Thursday, "In October, Bannon called an adviser and said he would consider running for president if Trump doesn't run for re-election in 2020. Which Bannon has told people is a realistic possibility."
The media outlet also notes that according to inside sources, Bannon has put the odds of Trump finishing out his first term at about 30%.
If Bannon is right, the 2020 race could well include the Breitbart executive chairman, and Twitter has a lot to say about that.
"It's worth pointing out that the odds right now of Steve Bannon becoming president in 2020 are far better than the odds of Donald Trump becoming President were in December 2013," Ben Jacobs of The Guardian wrote.
"Looking forward to liberals under President Bannon saying, 'You know, I never thought I'd miss President Trump,'" Jeet Heer, a New Republic editor, commented.
Others wondered what kind of nickname Trump would give Bannon if the campaign happened, whether Breitbart would start publishing anti-Bannon articles, and if it would create a situation impossible to parody.
Notably, Newsweek reports that according to people close to the former White House chief strategist, Bannon is not running for president in 2020.
"#FakeNews. Steve is 100% not running for President. He is not a politician," a spokesperson for Bannon told Newsweek.
