People in Jakarta, Indonesia, felt the tremors of a magnitude 6.5 earthquake that struck off the southern coast of Java, near Karanganyar, on December 15.The EMSC reported that 90 million people live in the area where the quake would be felt, and a tsunami alert was issued for Indonesia by Indonesian officials, according to reports.
