Weaving process of Paithani Saree. Women weaver from Paithan taluka in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra use to weave Paithani (पैठणी ) Saree. Paithani name came from its city Paithan. The art of Paithani is over 2000 years old. This saree was developed in the Satvahan dynasty (the then Pratishthan Nagar). Basically Paithani is made with silk, yarn threads and Zari.
