Margashirsh Shukla Panchami was the day when Mata Sita was married to Lord Rama, hence this date is celebrated as Shree Ram Janaki vivah utsov . It is also called as vivah Panchami and it is considered as a very auspicious day. On this day, devotees arranged marriage of Mata Sita and Lord Rama with great pomp and recite Ramcharitmanas and celebrate this festival with full zeal. मार्गशीर्ष शुक्ल पंचमी को भगवान राम ने माता सीता के साथ विवाह किया था इसलिए इस तिथि को श्रीरामजानकी विवाहोत्सव के रूप में मनाया जाता है। इसे विवाह पंचमी भी कहते हैं, यह दिन बड़ा ही शुभ होता है। भक्त इस दिन बड़े धूमधाम से माता सीता और भगवान राम का विवाह कराते है , रामचरितमानस का पाठ करते है और पूरे उत्सव के साथ इस पर्व को मनाते है । पर इस शुभ पर्व पर विवाह जैसा शुभ काम नहीं किया जाता है। आइए जानते है क्यों विवाह पंचमी के दिन विवाह करना शुभ नहीं माना जाता है ।
