Angry Protesters Converge on Libyan Embassy in Paris Over Slavery

Hundreds of angry protesters outraged by a recent news report showing migrants auctioned at a slave market in Libya marched to the Libyan embassy in Paris on Saturday, November 17.An exclusive CNN report investigating grainy phone footage of two men being sold on a slave market sparked a public outcry on social media. The report shows journalists travel to Libya, where they visited one slave market outside Tripoli undercover and witnessed a dozen people auctioned off to the highest bidder.The images also drew the attention of celebrities calling for action on the plight of migrants travelling to Libya in the hope of crossing to Europe.
