Starting from 1920, films or serials like Zorro, the Black Pirate, The Bat Whispers, Tarzan, Jungle Jim, The Phantom Rider, The Mysterious Rider, Flash Gordon, Buck Rogers, Robin Hood, Captain Blood, The Phantom influenced the creators of the Golden Age of Comic Books. These books then went on and influenced the Captain Marvel Serial, Superman, and Blackhawk.
