Superhero from the Golden Age to after. DC Comics, formerly known as National, sued any competitor it had whose superheroics could push Superman off the Newsstand from 1939 to 1959, with a couple other stories extending through 1966. This legal work from DC Comics was able to keep competitor's products as weak as they could to avoid any real Superhero competition for thier crown jewel, Superman, last son of Krypton. People in the video include Will Eisner and Victor Fox's Wonder Man, Fawcett's Master Man & Captain Marvel, Archie Comic's Private Strong / The Shield, Marvel's Wonder Man, and Myron Fass.
