In Under 48 Hours, Bitcoin Drops By Over $1000

On Friday, Bitcoin dropped below 7,000 dollars to trade more than five percent down on the day, having fallen by well over 1,000 dollars since hitting an all-time high on Wednesday. According to industry website Coinmarketcap, as bitcoin fell, Bitcoin Cash enjoyed a surge, trading up as much as thirty-five percent on the day at around $850. However, despite losing nearly seven percent this week, bitcoin remains up more than 600 percent so far this year.
