Italian authorities made a gruesome discovery on Sunday upon recovering the bodies of 26 Nigerian women from the Mediterranean Sea. Police have launched an investigation to determine whether the women were tortured or sexually assaulted. All of the women were between 14 to 18 years old. The cause of death appears to be drowning, according to media reports.
