Synopsis: Niels Løving Simonsen AKA Simon started out as a sculptor specializing in iron and steel in the Sixties and based in the two Danish cities of Aarhus and Sakskoebing. This activity lasted until 2005 as surgery resulted in him no longer being able to use both of his hands the usual way. Undeterred, he still retains creativity and a desire to keep on working, albeit in a different way.
I was very lucky in getting to know him at the occasion of exhibitions in Copenhagen and went on a visit to his workshop and where he creates works of Altered Art, as documented on a video titled Looking Back.
