Weinstein's alma mater to revoke his honorary degree

Harvey Weinstein's alma mater, The University of Buffalo, is making moves to have his honorary degree revoked. On Wednesday, the university claimed it was 'well aware' of Weinstein's sex abuse controversy and the State University of Buffalo will have to make the final decision. The honorary was bestowed to Weinstein in 2000, 27years after he graduated the university as an English major. The Simon Wiesenthal Center also released a statement, cutting ties with the former movie mogul. Given the gravity of the accusations, we are removing his name from our roster of SWC honorees in all Simon Wiesenthal Center’s publications.
