Footage has emerged of Durban city flooded after a severe storm hit the area.

The video, captured on October 10, shows streets in Montclair completely submerged in water.

"Half the neighbourhood is floating in water. People's s**t is floating everywhere. It's crazy," the filmer says.

According to local reports, eight people died and many have been forced to evacuate their homes.
