Rains shut down Mumbai. The financial capital has been witnessing heavy rains for the past couple of days. Flooded streets, submerged railway tracks, flight delays have disrupted the life of Mumbaikars. The Maharashtra government has declared a public holiday on July 2 in the wake of incessant rains. Approximately 54o mm of rains have been received in Mumbai in two-days. 16 people lost their lives in rain related accidents in Mumbai and Thane. Heavy rains predicted in the city between July 3 and 5.
