Celebrate Independence Day with a special Recipe Tiranga Pulav - Independence Day Special Recipe - Tricoloured Rice

INGREDIENTS-
1 cup boiled rice
coriander leaves
1 and 1/2 cup of boiled vegetables
4 tomatoes boiled and pureed
1 onion cut lengthwise
1 capsicum cut lengthwise
4 tablespoons coriander mint chutney
100 gms paneer
2 tablespoons cheese
2 tablespoons oil
1 and 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
2 pieces of cinnamon
2 pieces of cloves
1 green chilli finely chopped
salt to taste
1 teaspoon garlic paste
1 teaspoon red chilli powder
1 teaspoon cumin seeds
butter

METHOD-
Orange Layer (Gravy)
- Heat up 2 tablespoons of oil. Add cinnamon and cloves once the oil is hot. Add the chopped onions and cook them till they are brown. Add garlic paste, capsicum, tomato puree, garam masala, kashmiri red chilli powder, green chillies, mix them well and let the gravy simmer for 8-10 minutes.
- Add some grated paneer, 1 grated cheese cube to the gravy once it thickens a bit. Mix it well. Add little water to make the gravy little softer and let it simmer. Add the boiled vegetables. Mix it well and add salt and coriander leaves. The gravy is ready.

- Divide the rice in two bowls for the remaining two layers of the pulav.

White Layer (Rice)
Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a small pan. After the butter melts, add 1 tablespoon of cumin seeds. Pour this over the white rice. Mix it well and add salt as per taste.

Green Layer (Rice)
Add 3-4 tbsp of coriander mint chutney just to cover the rice. Mix it properly. Add salt as per taste. Make sure your rice is warm before adding chutney.
Once all three layers are ready, assemble them as per the tricolor.
