ہم اپنی زبان کے ساتھ کھڑے نہیں ہوتے ہم اپنے وعدوں کے ساتھ کھڑے نہیں ہوتے ۔ ہم اپنے وعدے کا پہرہ نہیں دیتے اِس لیے ہم اپنے میرٹ کے مطابق اپنی سزا بھگت رہے ہیں ہم جس کے مستحق ہیں وہ کچھ ہمیں دیا جا رہا ہے۔ سخاوت اٹھ گئی،حیا نکل گیا،اعتبار ختم ہو گۓ ۔ نہ صادق رہے اور جو رہے صادقین کے دلوں کے اندر اپنی قوم کی محبت نہ رہی۔اس لیے کہ وعدہ خلافوں سے محبت نہیں کی جاتی ،وعدہ وفا کرنے والوں سے محبت کی جاتی ہے۔ایفاۓ عہد کرنے والوں سے محبت کی جاتی ہے۔
We do not stand by our words. We do not stand by our promises. We don’t observe our promises. Therefore we are being chastised, and rightly so. We are getting what we deserve. Munificence eludes us. Sense of honour has gone out of our lives. Trust is no part of our daily existence. We are not truthful and the truthful there are, are not enamoured of their nation anymore. It is because, love is not given to the people who do not care to stand by their words. Love falls in the share of those who mean whatever they speak. Only those who fulfil their promises are worthy of true love.
