Top runners to chase world record in Berlin Marathon | DW English

The world's fastest long-distance runners are hoping to break the world record at this year’s Berlin Marathon. Tens of thousands of slower participants will also be running the 42.2 kilometer course. DW takes a look back to the beginnings of the popular event.
