Olivia Munn's Appearance in 'Oceans Eight' Actually Cost Her Money

Olivia Munn has a successful career on both big and small screens, so it might surprise you that she had to pay her own money to make a cameo in the upcoming all-female cast of Oceans Eight.
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Olivia says “It actually cost me money to be part of ‘Oceans’ Eight.’”
The actress’ scene reportedly takes place during the famous New York City Met Gala, and she tells Page Six, “They’re like, ‘Do your own glam,’ and I got the dress and all that and then you submit the bills for it because I’m part of your movie… And then they’re like, ‘oh no, the bills come right back to you.’”
Considering Oceans’ Eight has an all-star cast, including Rihanna, Cate Blanchett and Sandra Bullock, with the potential to bring in millions at the box office as a Summer 2018 release… You’d think they’d have the budget for a gown and some make up.
Still, Olivia reportedly insists she’s still “just as excited about it as everyone else” about the project, and she’s not the first actor or actress to be paid little or nothing for a big movie cameo.
