Shark Drones Dispatched To Track Sharks In Australia
  • 7 years ago
Australia is keeping its beaches safe from shark attacks with an unlikely ally that never touches the water: drones.

Some Australian beaches are being patrolled by battery-powered drones that send live video feeds to shark-spotting software. The software can identify sharks, and can trigger speakers on the drones to warn swimmers in case of nearby danger.

If only they'd had this technology in "Jaws," the movie would have been over in 20 minutes.
